The Spanish Chair

The iconic Spanish Chair is Børge Mogensen’s masterful contribution to modern design, designed for Fredericia in 1958. Solid oak or walnut combined with the highest calibre saddle leather creates a strong presence in a chair that will only become more beautiful with age.

Lounge chair of solid wood and saddle leather. Interchangeable seat and back made in vegetable tanned saddle leather with metal buckles. Leather seat has canvas backing. Saddle straps can be tightened as the leather expands through use.

Aniline Leather is an animal product, which we treat with the utmost respect. At Fredericia, we only use hides of the finest quality, from animals raised according to strict ethical guidelines. 

Oiled wood will develop a natural patina that will become more beautiful over time. At Fredericia, oil treatment is available for a number of products in oak, smoked oak or walnut.
